Sevilla centre-back Emir Spahic sees a new, younger team emerging at the club, one that he believes he can play a significant part in.
The Bosnian defender is beginning his second season with the Andalucian side and is optimistic for the way things are looking.
“We have many young players now, we want to help them to achieve good things, big things,” he told the Press today.
“This is a good team, not only in midfield, but also in defence and attack. Now there are many more options available to the side.
“But, what is important now is three points, because we are starting a new season – the win over Getafe was important to us. We need to play that way and to win games at home.
“I am well prepared and would like to play much more than last year, without injuries or other problems. I’m getting ready and we’ll see what can be done.
“Granada this weekend are a very strong opponent and when playing at home they are very competitive.
“We will need to be 100 per cent in this match in order to win it.”
