Malaga have confirmed their squad for the Champions League Play-off round game with Panathinaikos and youngster Fabrice Olinga is included.
The 16-year-old became the youngest goalscorer in the history of La Liga on Saturday with the only goal of Los Boquerones’ match at Celta Vigo.
Subsequently, combined with delays over Javier Saviola’s arrival, the club have decided to include him in the squad to face Greek side Panathinaikos in the first leg Play-off round fixture this Wednesday.
Malaga head into the game knowing victory over the two legs would see them enter the Champions League for the first time in their history.
“Well, we had the chance and Fabrice was chosen because he deserved it, whilst it wasn’t possible to sign anyone else in time,” Manuel Pellegrini explained. In total, the Coach called up 19 players for the midweek tie at La Rosaleda.
