Celta Vigo have announced the capture of Danish winger Michael Krohn Delhi from Brondby, reports Marca.
The 29-year-old passed a medical on Tuesday night to become Los Celestes’ fifth signing of the summer and will cost the Galicians around €1m.
Krohn Dehli starred in the recent European Championships where he scored two goals for his country, the winner against Holland in a 1-0 victory and one against Germany in a 2-1 defeat.
The Dane has spent the best part of his career in Holland having joined Ajax in 2002 after spells in his native country with Rosenhoj, Hvidore and Brondby as a youngster.
In 2004 he was loaned to RKC Waalwijk where he made 48 Eredivisie appearances before a return to Ajax two years later, although his spell with the Amsterdam club was unsuccessful and he was loaned to Sparta Rotterdam.
From there he returned to Brondby in 2008 and has remained there for the last four seasons, rediscovering his form and notching 26 goals in 116 League appearances.
Celta boss Paco Herrera is now set to ask the club’s director of football Miguel Torrecilla to complete his squad with a centre-forward before the transfer window closes on August 31.
