According to La Tercera, the 23-year-old Colo Colo player would be welcomed with open arms by Depor boss Jose Luis Oltra, who is looking to increase his firepower for the club´s return to La Primera after a one-year absence.
“Any good player would be well received. His record speaks for itself and his career also,” said Oltra, who qualified his comments by insisting they do not imply that Munoz has already been chosen to reinforce the Depor attack.
Munoz has scored 14 goals in 37 games in all competitions for Colo Colo since earning a move from Santiago Wanderers in July last year and has represented Chile five times.
Oltra, meanwhile, has made it clear that ‘my squad is still not complete’ and admitted that there will ‘probably be one arrival and one departure’ before the summer transfer market closes on August 31.
The Valencia-born Coach explained that his preference for a striker would be ‘somebody different to what we already have’ although he did not rule out the arrival of someone ‘with similar characteristics’ to those already at Riazor – Nelson Oliveira, Riki and Rodolfo Bodipo.
“I want a player that is good, scores a lot of goals and is good looking,” joked Oltra, who has also eyeing FC Copenhagen´s Cesar Santin and Christian Stuani of Reggina, the latter having spent last year in La Primera with Racing Santander.
