Pedro Rodriguez has praised David Villa’s return and reflected that whilst the table means very little, it’s ‘always good when Real Madrid drop points’.
The Blaugrana defeated Real Sociedad 5-1 tonight, after rivals and defending champions Real Madrid were held by Valencia to a draw.
“The team is very good and proved it. We are now taking shape and should continue,” reflected Pedro after the game.
“We are very happy. To be top now though is incidental, but it is always nice when Madrid drop points, of course.
“Of the best things from today, it has to be Villa coming back. It is good for him, for us and for the fans. It is a joy for us because he is very important to the club.
“His goal was touching and endearing. He has had a hard time with injury, for all of us it has been emotional and we have to offer our congratulations to him.”
