Slaven Belupo Coach Roy Ferencina admitted Athletic Bilbao were superior to his side in their Europa League qualifier first leg.
The Spanish side ran out comfortable 3-1 winners and are now favourites to progress ahead of the second leg to be played on August 9.
In the post-match Press conference, Ferencina insisted that his side could have come away with more whilst admitting that Marcelo Bielsa’s were better.
“We have had opportunities to get something more, but I cannot complain because Athletic also had theirs. They have been best. They have a depth exceeding our bench and it is what I expected,” he told Marca.
Despite the defeat, the Croatian remained upbeat about his side’s chances ahead of the return match.
“I am confident in my players and I know that we have a chance. At home we play better and I hope that in turn we have good game, score goals and give a good impression.
“We have our options and we will fight for them,” he added.
