Levante striker Arouna Kone is being courted by two Premier League clubs and could be on the move within days, reports Superdeporte.
It is understood that two unnamed English clubs have this week stepped up their interest in the Ivory Coast international, who has been left out of Los Granotas pre-season tour to Italy that starts today.
The 28-year-old intimated in a recent interview whilst on holiday in his native country that he wanted to continue his career in the Premier League, saying´ I have my suitcase packed` after being made aware of the interest.
Having spent last season on loan from Sevilla at the Ciutat de Valencia, scoring 15 goals in 34 League games, Kone has become one of the most sought-after frontmen in Spain and has been linked with West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite having made his move from the Andalusians permanent after Levante activated their option to buy, the Valencia-based club hope to cash in on Kone in a similar manner to Felipe Caicedo last summer.
The Ecuador striker was bought at the end of the season after arriving on loan from Manchester City before being sold to Lokomotiv Moscow for a €6.5m profit, something they now intend to do with Kone.
