La Liga new boys Celta Vigo have confirmed the signing of central defender Samuel Llorca from Hercules.
The 27-year-old has penned a four-year deal at Balaidos as boss Paco Herrera looks to strengthen his defence for the club’s return to the top flight after an absence of five years.
It will be the first time the Alicante-born player has appeared in the top division, having started his professional career at Hercules before returning last year after four years with Elche.
In the last four seasons 6ft 2in Samuel played a total of 128 games in La Segunda, forging a reputation as one of its most reliable defenders, and will be presented to fans on Monday after he has completed the obligatory medical.
