Real Madrid player Lucas Vazquez insists his team can still win the Spanish league title and claims Karim Benzema ‘is the world’s best striker’.
The Frenchman netted twice in the 4-2 victory at Espanyol on Sunday night but Madrid remain 10 points adrift of league leaders Barcelona and five from city neighbours Atletico Madrid.
“We want to win every game and then we can see what happens,” Vazquez told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“This is Real Madrid and we will fight until the end as we always do, the teams above us might slip up and we want to take advantage of that.
“Karim Benzema? He is the best striker in the world, he works so hard, he scores goals and offers this team so much.
“We enjoyed a very good match at Espanyol, we had intensity in our play and scored four goals – we want to show this in every game.”
