Sevilla defender Dani Carrico has been given a four-game ban for a homophobic insult directed at the Copa del Rey Final referee.
AS reports Carrico has been punished for the slur aimed at Carlos del Cerro Grande and will miss both legs of the Supercopa de Espana and the first two League games of the new season.
Barca won the final 2-0 to complete a domestic double despite having Javier Mascherano sent off in the first half, while Sevilla ended the game with nine men, Ever Banega and Carrico himself being dismissed.
Carrico picked up two quick bookings, the second of which came for the remark for which he has since been banned.
