Real Sociedad could drop Carlos Vela for the trip to Celta Vigo after he missed training and attended a concert without permission.
AS reports the Mexico forward is likely to be fined as well following images surfacing showing Vela at a gig in Madrid.
Sporting director Loren and Coach Eusebio Sacristan are said to have met to discuss the incident, and the club will first hear what Vela has to say in his defence.
Vela is due back in training on Wednesday after he was in Barcelona for a promotional event – with the club’s permission – and AS suggests he will be expected to apologise to his teammates before training.
He will then meet with Loren and Vice-President Angel Oyarzun, with President Jokin Aperribay currently in China, to offer his side of the story.
AS adds Vela has spoken over the phone with La Real officials, including Aperribay.
