On loan Ajax striker Bojan Krkic admits it was ‘a mistake’ to accept transfers for Roma and Milan.
The Barcelona youth academy product has struggled for playing time in recent years and two seasons in Serie A did not help his cause.
Roma were meant to have him for two years, but opted out of the agreement after 12 months. Milan then took him on loan, but also decided against an option to make the move permanent.
“It was a mistake when I decided to go to Roma and Milan. I should’ve come to Holland in 2011,” Bojan told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
“I am young and want to play consistently, so I cannot make do with playing so little. Now I have the opportunity to continue my growth process at Ajax.”
This is another loan deal for Bojan, but he is expected to find more first team football than in Italy.
The 22-year-old Spaniard scored seven goals in 33 Serie A games for Roma in 2011-12, then three goals in just 19 top flight matches at Milan in 2012-13.
