Malaga Coach Manuel Pellegrini’s agent has been reported as in Madrid meeting with Manchester City’s sporting director Txiki Begiristain.

Reports in Spain on Monday evening suggest that City have taken the lead, with their sporting director Begiristain apparently spotted in the Spanish capital with Pellegrini’s agent Jesus Martinez.
Begiristain is known to be an admirer of Pellegrini’s from when he reportedly tried to sign the then Villarreal Coach when he was acting as Barcelona’s sporting director.
