It is understood that Juventus will face competition from fellow Serie A side Napoli for the signature of Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez this summer.
The Chilean is being increasingly linked with a return to Italian football this summer, after struggling so far to have made a telling impact at the Camp Nou.
Since moving to Barca in the summer of 2011 for an overall cost of €37m, the 24-year-old has contended with injury and poor form.
Juve are linked with making an initial €5m bid this coming summer to take the former Udinese man to Turin on loan for 2013-14, with a view to a €20m purchase thereafter.
However, they are seen as likely to face competition from League rivals Napoli, if the Vesuviani find that another club comes in with the €63m required to activate Edinson Cavani’s buyout clause.
Cavani is continually being linked with a move away from Napoli, with Barca and Real Madrid reportedly among his admirers.
