Iker Muniain expressed was in an irate mood today facing the Press and didn’t take too kindly to being asked of former teammate Javi Martinez.
The new Bayern Munich man reportedly broke into Athletic’s training ground earlier this week to try to retrieve some of his personal effects left there after his summer transfer.
It is a story the player has since denied and that his former colleague Muniain was not interested in discussing today.
“I have not spoken to him, not do I know what happened, nor do I care,” he replied today to questions on it.
“We are focused on our next game, those are the things we are talking about, I think that it is rubbish that can be avoided and there is no getting around that.
“What he does is down to him, we are on the margins, we do not know anything about it. I think that there are more important things to talk about than such acts.
“There’s the news regarding Susaeta’s new contract, Llorente returning to training normally…these are more important things that what has happened with Javi.
“I’m not for or against the version of the company or that of Javi, I’m only taking the game on Sunday as being important.”
