Miguel Flano admits that the pressure if beginning to show at Osasuna and that the weekend match with Mallorca isn’t ‘just another game’.
The Pamplona outfit have lost their opening three matches of the season and currently occupy 20th spot in the table.
“The reality is that we have been defeated in three games and we can only be aware that we have not competed well enough to earn any points, but we still have to have the same confidence as we did before the first day,” reflected Flano when asked of the situation today.
“There have been quite a few things that we have done well, but they have not been achieved in a way to allow us to compete enough to earn any points yet.
“We should have confidence, knowing that we are focusing in the best possible way this week for a tough opponent.”
Joaquin Caparros’ Mallorca are this Sunday’s visitors and perhaps with their form in mind, defender Flano has reflected that the result, whilst important, is also not important.
“Whatever the result, it will be over time that we will show where we are going to end up, therefore we should not be overwhelmed or anxious.
“But, in La Primera the points are very hard to come by. This game, after three defeats, is not just another game. It is a very important game, a necessity for us and it will be very difficult, because the opponent in front of us will be very tough.”
