Javi Martinez has made a clandestine, late night return to Athletic Bilbao's training ground to collect his belongings.
The Spanish international defender was the subject of a fierce tug of war between the Basque outfit and Bayern Munich this summer, and though his move to Germany finally went through several weeks ago the saga isn't over, as Bilbao are seeking extra remuneration from Bayern on top of the €40m already paid.
In light of that ongoing acrimony AS report that Martinez decided to make his visit to the Lezama complex late at night on Saturday, and there are even suggestions that he climbed the fence to gain entry.
That talk is being treated with some scepticism however given that the training ground is guarded by security guards well acquainted with the players.
