Roma Coach Zdenek Zeman has rubbished reports that he intends to force Spanish striker Bojan Krkic out of the club this summer.
The youngster, who is midway through a complicated two-year loan deal from Barcelona, was the subject of speculation last week.
Reports suggested that he was no longer in new Coach Zeman’s plans and that the Italian capital club were intent on finding him a new side for this coming season.
However, Zeman has come out to defend the player and to deny the intention of moving him on.
“Technically he is a very good player, a player who is very much alive and I hope that he will help us a lot next season.
“He has had several muscle injuries and he had to completely stop. However, he is a very important player for me.
“I think his best position is on the wing, rather than as a centre-forward.”
